Outlining their findings online, Trend Micro said: We discovered several vulnerabilities in the application named SHAREit. The vulnerabilities can be abused to leak a user’s sensitive data and execute arbitrary code with SHAREit permissions by using a malicious code or app. They can also potentially lead to Remote Code Execution (RCE). In the past, vulnerabilities that can be used to download and steal files from users’ devices have also been associated with the app. While the app allows the transfer and download of various file types, such as Android Package (APK), the vulnerabilities related to these features are most likely unintended flaws.
Facebook Accidentally Blocks Its Own Page in Australia Following News Ban

Facebook blocked dozens of charity groups, nonprofit organizations, and even random big box retailers in Australia late Wednesday (early Thursday, local time), a move that appears to be collateral damage from Facebook’s ban on news in the country. Facebook even briefly blocked its own page in Australia, according to multiplereports and confirmation from a Facebook spokesperson.

Facebook blocked all “news” content from being distributed on its platform in Australia on Wednesday over a decision by the federal government to potentially implement new rules that would force big tech companies to negotiate with news outlets and pay for news content. Facebook says the proposed rules are an attempt, “to penalize Facebook for content it didn’t take or ask for.”
As reported by Android Headlines, a number of S21 users had reported that switching to the LTE module caused their Samsung Galaxy device to eat up battery power excessively.
While others reported that having multiple Android apps running in the background also ate up battery resources. This battery issues allegedly only affected the Exynos versions of the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus.

Microsoft says it has created the Surface Duo for those users who want the ultimate multitasking experience with it able to run two separate apps at the same time on those double displays. There s also the option to use one app and the other screen as a keyboard or game controller which is a nice touch.
Other extras include an all-day battery, fingerprint scanner and Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. There s also a single camera which can shoot images in low light and record video in 4K quality.
Unlike previous phones from Microsoft, the Duo is powered by Android allowing fans to gain access to millions of apps and games from Google s Play Store.

Fastly fell below $90 after its first-quarter adjusted loss projections fell short of expectations.
The content delivery network says it expects to post an adjusted loss of $0.09 to $0.13 per share for the current quarter.
Fastly s fourth-quarter adjusted loss of $0.09 per share was better than Wall Street s prediction of a loss of $0.10.
